Baseball Instruction - pitching

Expert: Willie Ansley Jr. - 4/9/2007

Question
Can you tell me all the different pitches and how to use them? But don't tell me the bad things about them. Also what does four seam two seam etc mean? Its kind of confusing.

Answer
Thanks for the question. To answer your entire question may take some time if you could ask something a little more specific I would be more than happy to try and answer that question.A for seam fast basell is thrown by holding the ball across the seams.Pitchers use this when they are trying not to put movement on the ball. This fastball has less movement.A two seam fastball is thrown with the seams. This pitch has more movement. You can use finger pressure to get more or less movement on this pitch.
