Question
My son, who is 11, recently tried a 1st base mitt when playing 1st. He does a much better job catching with it. He would like to use it in the outfield as well.

Are there Little League Rules that specify if this is allowable?
thanks!

Answer
mbw,

I'm not sure about the little league rulebook, but there are specific rules about how large and what type gloves can be used at which positions in the major league rulebook.  A first baseman's mitt would not be allowed in the outfield because it is slightly too wide.

Hope this helps!
