When did Major League baseball make steroid use illegal?
George,
I'm not sure exactly when Major League Baseball made steroid use illegal. It has been a while, at least ten years.
However, until two years ago, the players were never tested for steroid use. So, even though use was illegal, no player was ever caught using because there was no testing.
