Answer
I think at 13 and with school out he can do it very easily.First I would say make sure he eats small meals 5 times a day to get the metabolism up.Secondly he needs to build up to 2 miles in the morning one or two in the evening. If he can't run all of it walk some run some.He can also go to a track and run the straights and walk the curves.I think if he can do this 3 times a week he will see the weight come off rather quickly.
