Question
My wife and I ettended the first night world series game at Three Rivers Stadium. Which game was it--second, third, fourth?
Is there any way can get more info about this game?

                                   Thanks!

Answer
Hi Allen,

Thanks for writing.

The first night game in World Series history happened on Wednesday October 13, 1971 at Three Rivers Stadium.  The Pirates beat the Orioles 4-3.  It was Game 4 of the World Series won by the Pirates in 7 games.

You're just a few clicks away from a complete box score and play-by-play of that game!

First, go to this website:

http://retrosheet.org/

then click "Post-Season" in the list on the lefthand column.  Then click "1971".  Then scroll down to World Series Game 4 and click "BOX+PBP"

Enjoy!

Geoff
