Question
How many players have hit 2 home runs in a single inning

Answer
Whoops, Mattie Ordonez of the Tigers has just become the last AL player to hit 2 HR in an inning, in the second against the A's this very day. What an odd conjunction of question and event.  Tom

Tom,

Since 1901, the modern era, a total of 40 players have hit 2 home runs in an inning. The last one to do it in the AL was Carl Everett, Texas, July 26, 2002, in the 7th inning. The last National League hitter to do it was Juan Rivera, Montreal, June 19,2004, 2nd inning.
