Howdy- Yep, he sure did.  Playing for Charlotte in the Piedmont League, he did the following:
He hit .378, won by 26 points over runner-up Norman Young.
He had 38 Homers, 2 more than runner-up jack Graham.
He had 123 RsBI, 4 more than runner-up Jack Graham.
He scored 134 runs (in only 121 games), 21 more than runner-up Jerome Lynn.
He had 325 Total Bases, 29 more than runner-up jack Graham.
He had a terrific  .754  Slugging Average, 176 points higher than runner-up Norman Young.
He had a phenomeriffic .528 OB%, 92 points higher than runner-up Norman Young.
He was also second in walks (117 to Eddie Stanky's 127), third in Stolen Bases (28 to leader Ellis Clary's 47, was tied for fourth in Doubles (30 to leader Jerry Priddy's 36) and threw in 19 assists from his outfield spot.
