Question
Did the 1951 New York Giants baseball team receive National League Championship rings?  My understanding is that they did not that year?  Is there a book which has pictures of World Series and championship rings?

Answer
Dan,

The practice of presenting rings did not exist in 1951, so you are correct that the Giants of that year went ringless. I did some quick checking and as of now, I'm still not able to pinpoint when the practice of presenting rings began. I know it goes back to at least 1970.

I don't know of a book that pictures the rings, but you can get a good idea of what they look like by Googling "league championship rings." If you try some other search engines, you'll probably turn up more.

Sorry I could not be more helpful.
