Question Since you are an expert on baseball, I thought that I would contact you in hopes that you might be able to help me more than Fox Northwest or the Seattle Mariners office has been able to do. All I want to do is obtain a rebroadcast of the May 5th Seattle Mariners games as my family had traveled from a small island in British Columbia to cheer on our team (as we have done for over 30 years) and by chance they featured my 3 year old son in their promo and the broadcasters mentioned him on-air. Since my family was unable to view it, I contacted the Fox and Mariners reps and they were less than helpful. I was wondering if there is some way of viewing this game again to show my family (as I have been going to see their games as my family vacation since I was 3 years old). I am willing to sign up for a subscription if need be, and am not even asking for it to be free. It is just a really neat experience that we would love to share with grandpa who got my son into the Mariners. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Answer Hello- I can see why you would want a tape of this game!! Unfortunately, I cannot help you with the Mariners- all of my experience in dealing with clubs and networks has been frustrating at best. Unless you are prepared to rent a sky box for a year or buy advertising time, you are plum out of luck. However, I do have a suggestion which (hopefully) may help-go to CRAIG'S LIST on the internets and see if someone taped that game and would be willing to copy it for you. If that gets no results, try writing to Dave Niehaus himself and tell him your story- he may be able to help you (I have actually had some luck when I contact announcers directly).
