Question
has any pitcher in basball history ever hit for the cycle?

Answer
Howdy- (I assume that you mean Major League Baseball)
The answer is...close.  In 1894, Tom Parrott hit for the cycle on 28 Sept.  He pitched in 41 of his 68 games that year, so the odds were at least 2 in 3 that his cycle would come on a day he took the mound.  However, it turns out that he started a game on the 29th, so, no, no pitcher ever hit for the cycle.
Good question though!
