Question
Tom, I have a friend turning 60 this wk.  He thinks his grandfather played for a professional baseball team in Louisville, Ky.  Can you possibly find out if a "Harston" was on any Louisville team?  It would be a great surprise if I could find any history on his grandfather for his b-day.  Thanks for any help.

Answer
Michael,

Louisville had a major league team from 1876-77 and 1882-99. I'm sorry to tell you that no player named "Harston" played for them during this time. In fact, no player with this last name ever played in the majors at any time. Sorry, but there is no way for me to check any minor league Louisville team rosters.
