If anybody did this, it's not the pitchers named. Not a single one of these pitchers gave up home runs to both Maris and McGwire. Here's who got homers off these guys:
Nolan Ryan: neither
Tommy John: McGwire
Don Sutton: McGwire
Phil Niekro: Maris
Joe Niekro: Maris
