I really hope you get a chance to read this.  Dutch Zwilling was a pallbearer at Casey's funeral nearby in Glendale, California.  They were lifelong friends stemming from their time in St. Joseph, Mo.  Dutch's son lived a mile away from me here in La Crescenta, CA.  Bob Zwilling told me a lot about Dutch and Casey.  Casey and his wife, Edna owned a local bank, Valley National.  If you'd like more information on Dutch or on their relationship, please contact me.  I'd like any picture you have of Dutch.  Thanks.

When my brother and I were young we would go watch baseball games at Stengel Field in Glendale where our father volunteered in the youth baseball program.

Dutch would occasionally drive Casey to the field to watch games.  Both men were very gracious and would spend time talking with us.  They would also tell funny stories about baseball.

We were in awe.  Such a happy memory. Casey lived 4 streets away from us.

Dutch lived somewhere not too far away.  So nice that both men made time to talk with the children.  Dutch drove Casey everywhere.

I will deal with the major leagues only from 19th century to present. I`m good on baseball history, records, statistics, ballparks. I don't do off-the-field stuff. Please if you already know the answer to the question, please don't ask it. I don't want to play "stump the expert."

I've written on the subject, and I have substantial library of resources.
