Baseball Trivia (General)/Greatest Small/Short Players

Question
Hey Tom:
I have an 11 year-old who is a pretty solid little league player.  He's also extremely small.  I'd like to put together a little slideshow for inspiration -- something showing the greatest half dozen or so small MLB players in history.  Ethan plays mostly P, 2B, C, although in little league kids will end up playing everywhere.  What names would you have on your list of the greatest small/short players?

Happy Holidays,

Jim

Answer
Hello Jim,

I've run four little studies for you, a list of short Hall of Fame hitters and pitchers, and then a couple of more specialized ones. Your boy's got a better shot as a hitter. Enjoy.

Hall of Fame Hitters 5-foot-eight or less         http://bbref.com/pi/shareit/5SQXW
Hall of Fame Pitchers 5-foot-ten or less         http://bbref.com/pi/shareit/pUrZW

Hitters 5'8" or Less, Career Batting Average over .290    http://bbref.com/pi/shareit/XKrQH
Pitchers 5'8" or Less, Career ERA less than 3.50          http://bbref.com/pi/shareit/aXbbw
