Baseball Trivia (General)/Suspended Games in Consecutive Games Streaks

Question
Suppose a player in the middle of a consecutive games streak misses playing in a game which ends up being suspended (due to weather, darkness, etc.). The player resumes his streak after this game, and plays in the last part of suspended game when it's resumed later in the season. (Like this game: <http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/2008/B04280CHA2008.htm>.) Is his consecutive games streak therefore not interrupted by his missing the first part of the suspended game, since he eventually played in second part?

Answer
David,

It would be an odd situation, but you are correct: the streak of consecutive games would not be broken. A consecutive game streak--unless it specifically specifies that a player must start the game--is not broken if a player appears in any part of the game. Hitting streaks, for example, aren't broken if a player pinch hits.
