Question
how many left handed short stops in pro baseball?

Answer
Crystal,

There is only one left-handed shortstop who ever played in the big leagues that I can find. His name was Russ Hall. He played 30 games for the St. Louis Browns of the National League in 1898 and 1 game for the Cleveland Blues of the American League in 1901.
