Baseball Trivia (General)/Fewest Shutouts Allowed, Season

Question
What major league team allowed the fewest shutouts over the course of an entire season?  I am wondering if a team has ever gone an entire season without being shutout.

Answer
Bruce,

No team has ever gone a whole season without being shutout, but several have allowed only one shutout through the entire season.

          Toronto 1993
          Texas   2001
          Milwaukee 1982, 1979
          Cleveland  1996
          Cincinnati 1970
          Boston     1995

I did not count the strike shortened 1994 season. Please note: my data is only good from 1954 to present.
