Question Is the cycle considered legitimate if any of the hits to complete take place in extra innings?
Answer good question - I am not an official scorer however I would assume that hitting the cycle would refer to a single, double, triple and home run in a game - if the game went into extra innings it would still be considered a game and therefore my opinion, would count should a batter hit for the cycle in that particular game regardless of the number of extra innings
