Baseball Trivia (General) - 1000 R, 2000 to 2009

Expert: Tom Schott - 9/22/2009

Question
I heard this question on tv and didn't hear the answer. There are 6 players and 3 are Yankees Damon, Jeter, A.ROD. I think Pujos. Please help on the next 2

Answer
Hi Norm,

Actually there are only two players with over a thousand runs scored since 2000. In fact, there are only seven with over 900 since the beginning of the decade. Jeter might get over this year yet. Here they are:

Cnt Player              R    G  From  To   Ages
+----+-----------------+----+----+----+----+-----+
   1 Alex Rodriguez    1112 1400 2000 2008 24-32
   2 Johnny Damon      1008 1344 2000 2008 26-34
   3 Derek Jeter        981 1347 2000 2008 26-34
   4 Bobby Abreu        965 1422 2000 2008 26-34
   5 Albert Pujols      947 1239 2001 2008 21-28
   6 Todd Helton        938 1315 2000 2008 26-34
   7 Carlos Beltran     911 1311 2000 2008 23-31
