Baseball Trivia (General)/Rookies on opening day starting lineup

Question
Hi!

Scott Sizemore and Austin Jackson from the Tigers are two rookies who were on the starting lineup on opening day. I don't remember it happened in the recent years. I think it happened a long time ago (15-20 years).

Does it happened between 1995 and 2009? I found nothing clear on Internet, maybe you can help me.

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Max,

Travis Lee & Edwin Diaz for Arizona on March 31, 1998, were the only ones in the past 15 years besides Sizemore and Jackson.

Hello again, Max. There have been a few more occasions of this happening in baseball history. I found about four more instances just idly poking around yesterday. If you will give me a few days, I'll scout out the rest that I can find and send to you. I'm out of town right now, and not at my own computer and desk. I get home on Sunday.
