Hi Tom, Hope to find out AL pitcher's ERA at the height of steroids (your choice year) compared to 2009.

How about 1999? Some representative stats for this year compared to 2009


             ERA      R/G      WHIP      H/9     HR/9
   1999      4.87     5.23     1.403     9.7     1.2
   2009      4.46     4.87     1.486     9.2     1.1

If you look at the whole steroid era (I call it 1990-2005), it really stands out in terms of the way pitching was getting hammered compared to both before and after.
