Baseball Trivia (General)/1945, Yankees vs. St. Louis Browns

Question
A religious organization called Young Israel ( I think) took a bunch of us Brooklyn kids to Yankee stadium during a weekday to see the Bombers play the St. Louis Browns. I/m pretty sure it was 1945 because Charlie Keller played left field and the Yankee icons Rizzuto, DiMaggio and Henrich  returned from active service only in 1946. I think either Denny Galehouse or Sam Zoldack pitched that  game  for Browns. It had to have been in July or August because of no school.. I don't remember which  team won. THE QUESTION: where or how can I find boxscores with lineups of those Yankee/Brown games in July/August 1945?

P.S. I  remember George Case as an adroit base stealer for the Washington Senators. I think he played center field and was not a power hitter. The name Stan Spence sticks in my mind too, perhaps he was the center fielder instead of your dad. Thank You in advance for any reply

Answer
My suggestion for box scores - google - Retrosheet - all of the box scores are available I believe

My Dad, George Case was a basestealer - (5) consecutive major league titles - 1939-43 and (6) times leading the American League - my dad began his career in centerfield - later played right and left field - Stan Spence was the centerfielder for Washington for much of his career - Stan spent some time in the military during WWII

My dad was the lead-off hitter - not a power hitter at all (only 21 home runs his entire career) but his job was to get on base and score runs - several years scored more than 100 runs - .282 life-time batting average

Might want to take a look at www.timelessbaseball.com

Thank you
