QUESTION: Wow, thank you very much Mr. George W. Case III

I hope there is a team that I was looking for. Because I'm
going to transfer as an International student in a college
team for is actually full. Is that the right league that
make my case?
I had to explain that before.
Please accept my apologyze Mr. Geroge and thank you again.

Alexander

ANSWER: I really do not know the level of competition for those specific teams - many independent league teams are made up of college ballplayers and older players who may not have the skill level required to play professional baseball in a specific organization - what I think you should do is to contact those teams and advise them of your availability in January 2011 and find out the positions they are seeking - they would probably have an open tryout and if you have the skill level and playing position they are seeking, there might be an opportunity for you - as a first step I would contact those specific teams - the teams would probably be able to provide you with the necessary information as it fits into your skill level and baseball background - example if you are a shortstop with some power, I would think, a team would always be interested in that combination of fielding ability and power hitting - there is a baseball phrase - "good field-no hit" - those type players are very common in baseball and therefore not that much in demand

QUESTION: I will contact the team, but I think that those team are Minor
League Class A, they are not independent league Sir. There's
must be a mistake if I'm not wrong.

Thank you.

Answer
I went and did a google search which you can do as well - Pensacola Pelicans in Pensacola Florida - the only independent team in Florida

They are in the south division of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball.  For more information Wikipedia has information on the team as well as the Association (based in Durham NC)
