Hi--

I've always disliked the idea of a wild card winning the World Series. Seems silly to me to consider a team that didn't win its section to be a "World Champion."

Which wild card teams have won the Series?

Hello, Steve. I hate the idea of wild card teams myself, and it may get even worse with baseball considering the addition of another wild card team into the post-season mix. It's an abomination.

Wild card teams have won the Series five times:

Florida  1997 & 2003
Anaheim  2002
Boston   2004
St Louis  2010
