Q1: With Jim Thome nearing 500 home runs and with Mark Buehrle having thrown a no-hitter this year, has there ever been a game in which both occurred in the same game?
Q2: Has anybody ever hit their 500th home run against a former team?

No one has ever hit their 500th home run against a team they used to play for, nor has anyone ever hit their 500th in the same game their pitcher(s) threw a no-hitter.
