Steve,
A co-worker of mine asked me what teams Jackie Robinson played for before the bums. As for myself, did you ever see him play?

Answer -
Robinson never played for any other team but the Brooklyn Dodgers. In fact, when the Dodgers sold him to the Giants in 1956, he retired rather than play for another team.
I was at Ebbets Field on April 15th, 1947, when Jackie played his first game, and I saw him throughout his entire career.  He was the most exciting ballplayer I ever saw, and his breaking of the color barrier was the most significant event in the history of baseball.

This is the co-worker talking. Thank you so much for answering my question. However, more specifically speaking, he did play in the Negro League before he was called up by Branch Rickey and the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947, besides the Montreal Royals?

Answer
I misunderstood your question; I thought you meant any other MAJOR LEAGUE team.

You're right.  Robinson played for the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro League before being signed by Rickey to play for Montreal in the International League, where he led them to the championship.
