Howdy- on 18 June, 1953, the Boston red Sox sent 23 batters to the plate in the seventh inning vs. the Tigers.  The Bosox scored seventeen runs, by the way. This tied the all-time mark set back in 1883 by Chicago in a game vs. Detroit on 6 September (18 runs scored).  The modern N.L. record is 21, by the beloved Brooklyn Dodgers (of fond memory) vs the Red Legs, 21 May, 1952 (15 runs scored).
