What is the record for the most hits in a 9 inning game for both teams combined?  Also the record for extra inning game?

NL 51 -- Philadelphia 26, Chicago 25  Aug 25, 1922
AL 45 -- Philadelphia 27, Boston 18  Jul 8, 1902
     -- Detroit 28, New York 17  Sep 29, 1928

Extra inning game:

NL 52 -- New York 28, Pittsburgh 24  Jun 15, 1929 [14 inn]
AL 58 -- Cleveland 33, Philadelphia 25 Jul 10, 1932 [18 inn]
