Baseball Trivia (General)/Oldest Active MLB player

Question
Last week I was watching a playoff game and a 48 year old black player was up to bat, I believe as a pitch-hitter.  One of the other players on his team had made a comment that he was only two years old when this player started in the league.  I can't remember what team they played for.  Can you help me?

And he the oldest active player?  Thanks.

Answer
Carolyn,

That would be Julio Franco, who has played for the Atlanta Braves for the past threee seasons. Here are all of his statistics. He's been a productive ballplayer for a long time.
