Question
Do sumbarine pitchers grip the ball different than overhanders when it come to fastballs and curves? I also would like to ask what is the fastest pitch ever thrown in a game and by who? Sorry for such long questions.
Sorry I can't help you with the submarine pitchers' grip, but the fastest recorded pitch was 103 mph, by Mark Wohlers in spring training, 1995.
Three other pitchers have hit 102 mph:
Armando Benitez in 2002
Randy Johnson in 2002
Robb Nen in 1997
