Question
Who was the last player to win the MVP award that was on the losing team?

Answer
Greg,

The last guy was Carl Yaztrzemski of the Red Sox in 1970. The NL won the game in 12 innings, 5-4.

It's only happened one other time. In 1966, Brooks Robinson of the Orioles won the MVP, although the American League lost in 10 innings, 2-1.
