Question
What Yankees Numbers are retired? Who wore them?
Do you think Paul O'Neill will have his number retired?

Answer
Howdy- The Yankees lead the majors in retired numbers with 15.  They are as follows: 1, Billy Martin; 3, Babe Ruth; 4, Lou Gehrig; 5, Joe DiMaggio; 7, Mickey Mantle; 8, Yogi Berra and Bill Dickey; 9, Roger Maris; 10 ,Phil Rizzuto; 15, Thurman Munson; 16, Whitey Ford; 23, Don Mattingly; 32, Elston Howard; 37 Casey Stengel; 44, Reggie Jackson; 49, Ron Guidry.  They have also retired 42, in honor of Jackie Robinson, but Mario Rivera has been wearing that number since before Major League Baseball retired it, and I think that the Yankees will also honor him by adding another 42 to the list, as they did with the two #8s.
Paul O'Neill? Doubtful, although you can never tell what the Boss might decide.  I would think they would retire Bernie Williams's number, possibly Jorge Posada's and maybe even Roger Clemons's.  If it were my decision, I would add Hank Bauer and Allie Reynolds to the list.
