To benefit War Bonds, the Dodgers, Giants, and Yankees played a unique six-inning exhibition game on June 26, 1944.

Each team played two consecutive innings against the other two, then rested for an inning.

The final score: Dodgers 5, Yankees 1, Giants 0.
