How many stitches are there in a major league baseball?  What is the core of the ball made of?  What material is after the core? Finally, what is the longest recorded homerun in major league history and by what player?

Answer
Ron:

A baseball has 108 stitches. The ball is made of layers of yarn wound over a core of rubber-coated cork.  

The subject of the longest home run is quite controversial. I'll let you read about it. You can find a fine article at:
