Question
The top 10 career OPS hitters are in descending order:  Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Barry Bonds, Hank Greenberg, Rogers Hornsby, Manny Ramierz, Frank Thomas, and Mark McGwire.  Over a 24 year period from 1965 thru 1988 7 members of the Boston Red Sox won a total of 11 single year OPS titles.  Even though one of those 7 hitters finished his career with more total bases than any other hitter in American League History except for Cobb and Ruth, he fails to appear in the list of Top 100 career OPS stats?  Who is he.

A teammate of the player above on the 1982-1983 Red Sox is the only 1 of the 7 to finish in the Top 100 career OPS list.  Yet he only had one MLB season with over 75 RBI's.  Who is he?

Answer
The FIVE Boston OPS leaders in the '65-'88 perriod are:
Yaz (4 times)
Lynn (2x)
Evans (2x)
Boggs (2x)
and Rice.

Carl Yastrzemski is the single-year OPS leader who doesn't appear on the list of Top 100 OPS stats.

Boggs, with only TWO seasons of 75+ RBI, comes closest to that criterion.

But NONE of them appears on the top 100 career OPS list.
