Question
Hi John,

I know 14lb is equal to 6.35 kg. Will you take me through the steps to find out what 1lb will be in kg? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Aesculapius,

From this information,
mathematically, we can write X [pounds] = Y [kilograms].

Dividing both sides by X, we get
1 [pound] = Y/X [kilograms]

In this conversion, we have X=14 and Y=6.35.

So, 1 lb = (6.35/14) kg.
You can simplify this with a calculator if you like.

That's it:)

Sequences & Series. Trigonometry. Functions & Graphs. Coordinate Geometry. Quadratic Polynomials. Exponential & Logarithms. Basic Calculus. Probability, Permutation and Combination. Mathematical Induction. Complex numbers. Physics problems.

Experience

I have worked as a teaching assistant in college. My hope is that more people will share knowledge without boundary, give help without seeking recognition or monetary rewards.
