Question
how do i put:
5/18 into a percentage? please help me

Answer
Two possibilities:

1) Work this out on a calculator, which is probably not something you should rely on...perhaps use only as a check.

2) Do long division. Unfortunately, this is easy to show on paper, but very difficult to type here as the letters don't line up properly. Do a search on "long division" on Google, I'm sure you'll find plenty of examples to illustrate how this is done. This is something fundamental that you need to learn on your own.

To convert 5/18 into a percentage, you calculate (5/18) x 100.
This is the same as 5 x (100/18).

Knowing how to do long division,
100/18 is roughly 5.555...

So, 5 x (100/18) is equivalent to 5 times 5.555...
Splitting 5.555 up into two parts, viz., 5.555...=5+0.555...
The answer is roughly 5*5 + 5*0.555...
which is approximately 27.777...

When I work through problems, I like to emphasize concepts which I believe are worth noting. I will try to answer questions in the following areas, but not at the advanced level. Algebra. Sequences & Series. Trigonometry. Functions & Graphs. Coordinate Geometry. Quadratic Polynomials. Exponential & Logarithms. Basic Calculus. Probability, Permutation and Combination. Mathematical Induction. Complex numbers. Physics problems.
