Question
Identify the units on the variable x in each of the following situations: 1. x = fp       both f and p are measured in inches. 2. x = 7t^3 t is measured in feet  3. x = y/z y is measured in cubic centimeters and z is measured in
centimeters. 4. x = 1/2at^2  a is measured in meters/sec^2  and t is measured in seconds

Answer
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I think 1 is sq inches, 2 is cubic feet, 3 is centimeters and I'm not sure about 4 (off hand), but I'd say look for a distance formula.  1. is the eq for area of a sq or rectangle (a=lw=a measurement squared).  2 is for the area of a cube (lwh=a, where a is measurement cubed).  3. is back to area  of a sq and 4 is an eq for speed.
