First, determine the slope.

8-7/6-5 = 1

Then, solve for the y intercept (y=mx+b).

7 = 1(5)+b
2 = b

now you have the slope intercept form, y = 1(x) + 2

Standard form is Ax + By = C

Rearrange the slope intercept form to the standard form

-x + y = 2
