Question
WHAT IS IT
Hard telling with so little information, but I'm guessing it's algebra and that it's eliminating one variable in the eq by subtracting the 2 eqs. EX:
4x+8y= 16
8x+y =17
multiply the first eq by 2 and subtract the eqs
8x + 16y = 32
8x + y = 17
15y = 15
y = 1, therefore x = 2
