Question
I am purposing to help my fourth grade son with probability.  The question is if you toss a coin and a six sided cube labeled 11 22 33, how many possible outcomes are there?

Answer
Hi. Basically, the way to do it, is to write the possible outcomes in a table. It's hard to tell you how to do it because I can't draw a table and show you. But basically, the row along the top will have the outcomes of the coin and along the side you'll have each of ther six sides of the cube. Then,  in each of the boxes in the middle, write the coin outcome and the side of the cube which that box corresponds to. IE look at the top and look at the side to see which leads to that box. Do it for all of them. Then count how many different ones there are. Hope this helps.
