Question
here is my question
find the percent of increase from 4000 to 8500

Answer
Hi. Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I don't know your maths skills, so I'm going to show you how I would do it and if there's anything you don't understand, let me know.

Okay, so 4000 = 100%
8500 - 4000 = 4500

So, what percentage is 4500 of 4000?

Well, we know 4000 is 100%. So, we just need to find the 500.

4000 = 100%
divide by 8
500 = 12.5%

So, you add the 4000 and 500, which makes 4500.

So, in the same way, add 12.5 to 100, so you get 112.5% increase.

If I've confused you in any way, don't hesitate to ask me to explain.
