Find the value of x: x divide 7/8 = 3/5

x / 7/8 = 3/5

Step 1: Take the reciprocal of 7/8 and change the division sign to multiplication.

Result: x(8/7) = 3/5

Step 2: Multiply the 8/7 and x.

Result: 8x/7 = 3/5

Step 3: Multiply both sides by 7.

Result: 8x = 21/5

Step 4: Divide both sides by 8.

Result: x = 21/5 /8

Step 5: Take the reciprocal of 8 and change the division sign to multiplication.

Result: x = 21/5 x 1/8

Step 6: Multiply the two fractions together.

Result: x = 21/40

Answer: x = 21/40
