Question how do i work out this problem i am having trouble?
-3=c-8
this is solving equations by adding or subtracting
Answer Hello, Melanie.
-3=c-8
Step 1 is to add 8 to both sides of the equation. We want to get the c factor by itself. Right now there is a -8 on the right side of the equation with the c. Adding 8 to the right side will cancel out the
-8, leaving us with c.
We must remember that whatever is done on one side of the equation must be done on the other side.
