Question
x=yz both y and z measured in feet

Answer
Hi Courtney

Since you did not mention what you are having trouble with, I am not sure if I can answer your question properly.

As far as the expression is concerned, it is saying that some unknown quantity x is the product of y and z. i.e., you multiply y by z to get x. As y and z are both measured in feet, the proper unit for x is squared feet (ft^2). This equation may describe the area of a rectangle. For instance, if the width and height of a rectangle are given by y and z, respectively, then the area is given by x = y times z.

Is this more or less what you are looking for?

When I work through problems, I like to emphasize concepts which I believe are worth noting. I will try to answer questions in the following areas, but not at the advanced level. Algebra. Sequences & Series. Trigonometry. Functions & Graphs. Coordinate Geometry. Quadratic Polynomials. Exponential & Logarithms. Basic Calculus. Probability, Permutation and Combination. Mathematical Induction. Complex numbers. Physics problems.

Experience

I have worked as a teaching assistant in college. My hope is that more people will share knowledge without boundary, give help without seeking recognition or monetary rewards.
