Basic Math - math question

Question
what type of number has an odd number of factors? give examples

Answer
Well, it can't be prime because prime numbers always have two factors, 1 and the number itself.  The only numbers that have an odd number of factors are perfect squares.  4, 9, 16, 25, etc. For example numbers that multiply to 4 are 1*4 and 2*2, so, the number of factors is odd, 1, 2 & 4.  Multiples of 9 are 1*9 and 3*3, factors equal 1,3 and 9.  All other numbers will have an even number of factors.
