Question
how do I do the conversion step by step when calculating molecules to moles.
I can not seem to get the concept. the formula is
3.01 x 10 to the 24 power molecules of CO2 molecules to moles of CO2

Answer
Don't know too much about molecules, but mathematically if it's 3.01 x 10^24 molecules to moles, then just take the number of molecules you are converting and divide by 3.01, then move the decimal 24 places to the left.  For example 40,000,000 molecules divided by 3.01 = 13289037.

Move the decimal 24 places to the left and you get .0000000000000000013289037 or 1.328 x 10^-17
