Basic Math/RE: Finding the slope

QuestionMy professor's pretty dynamic so I can't quite understand the way he teaches the class. Help!
The question is:
the the slope for a line that passes through the points (-1,6) and (4,10).
Also, for a line that is parallel to the following line:
-7x+33-2y
AnswerThe formula to find the slope when you have 2 points is y2-y1/x2-x1, where the one and two mean the x's and y's from the two points you have so, 10-6/4-(-1) = 4/5.
For the second question, you're missing an = sign. But some info so maybe you can do it on your own. Parallel lines have the same slope. To find the slope of your line, solve for y, then the number infront of the x is the slope. Then, you can just add the same number to the x and y constants and use the same slope. This will be a line that is parallel to the line in question.
