Question
y=(x-7)(xt2)
p.s. the "t" is a plus not a variable

Answer
y = (x - 7)(x + 2)

y = x^2 -5x -14

The vertex is given by (h, k) where

h  = -b/(2a)
h = -(-5)/(2)
h = 5/2
h = 2 1/2

k can be found by using substitution

y = (5/2)^2- 5(5/2) - 14
y = 25/4 -25/2 -14
y = -25/4 -14
y = -25/4 - 56/4
y = -81/4
y = -20 1/4
