Question
I'm not sure how to get the answer to this problem.  304/96342.   I have the answer, but I don't know how they came up with the remainder  fraction 316 139/152??  thanks

Answer
Ok, I think you have the fraction backwards, I think its supposed to be 96342/304.

You start by dividing 96342 by 304, that equals 316 point something.  To get the remainder you subtract 304(316) from 96342.
96342-(304(316)) = 278.  Since you were dealing with 304th to begin with, you have 278/304 leftover.  If you reduce (divide top and bottom by 2) you get 139/152
